Community Guidelines
1. Who can join
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Use one personal account. You do not need to use your real name, but you may not pretend to be another person, a business or an authority.
2. Be respectful
No harassment, bullying, threats, insults or hate speech, including attacks based on nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or immigration status.
3. Keep the community safe
- No violence, threats or content that encourages self-harm.
- No sexual content or nudity.
- Zero tolerance for any content that sexualizes or endangers children. We remove it, ban the account and report it to the authorities.
- No terrorism or violent extremism.
4. Be honest and stay legal
- No scams or fraud, fake or forged documents, offers to sell visas or work permits, human trafficking or smuggling, or illegal goods and services.
- No advice on breaking immigration law, and no misleading health, legal or immigration claims presented as official. Always check official sources.
- No impersonation of people, businesses or government bodies.
5. Protect privacy
- Do not post other people's personal information, such as addresses, phone numbers, document numbers, photos or videos, without their permission.
- Do not post photos or videos of your own passport, visa or other identity documents.
6. No spam or advertising in posts
Posts and replies may not include phone numbers, links or promotions. Businesses can list their services in the directory or request a banner through "Advertise with us", and employers can publish job ads as described below. You can also boost your own post from our website to reach more people. Boosted posts are marked as Sponsored and must follow these guidelines like any other post.
7. Private messages
- Message only people who want to hear from you. If someone does not follow you, your first message arrives as a request, and they can accept it, delete it or block you.
- Do not send spam, scams, chain messages or unsolicited advertising, and never ask people for money, documents or personal details.
- Message requests may not include links or phone numbers. After a request is accepted, share contact details only with people you trust.
- The rules on respect, safety, honesty and privacy in these guidelines apply to messages too.
8. Job ads
Job offers belong in the directory, not in posts. Use the job ad form in the services directory, under Job Posting, so that your ad has everything applicants need and is reviewed before it goes live.
- Post only real, open jobs that you are authorised to recruit for, with an honest title, salary and location.
- Never ask applicants for money, such as recruitment, visa, training or equipment fees, and never keep their passports or documents.
- Do not discriminate by race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, age or disability, unless the law requires it for the job.
- Do not sell visas or work permits, and mention visa sponsorship only if the employer really provides it.
- Use applicants' details only to recruit for the job you posted.
Looking for work? Never pay to get a job or a visa, check the employer before you send your passport or bank details, and report any job ad that asks for money or looks suspicious with the Report button on the ad. 9. Respect intellectual property
Post only text, photos and videos you have the right to share, and do not film people who did not agree to it.
How we enforce these guidelines
- You can report any post or account from its menu, report a message from the conversation, and block or mute accounts at any time.
- Posts are hidden automatically after several reports while we review them.
- Job ads are hidden automatically after their application deadline, or after several reports while we review them.
- We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or ban accounts that break these guidelines, and we report illegal content to the authorities.
