NOMADO LLC ("NOMADO", "we", "us", or "our") is a document reminder service incorporated in Wyoming, United States. We help expatriates track visa expiry dates, passport renewals, and important deadlines through WhatsApp and SMS reminders.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

• Email address (for login and communication)
• Full name (optional, for personalization)
• Nationality (optional)
• WhatsApp and mobile phone numbers (to send reminders)

2.2 Document Information

• Document type (visa, passport, permit, ID)
• Document expiry dates
• Country of residence
• Visa/permit type
• Person name associated with the document (may include minors)

2.3 Children's Document Data

NOMADO is a family document management tool. Parents and guardians may enter document information for their minor children (under 18) as part of managing family documents. We treat all such data with the same protections as adult data. We do not directly collect information from children — all children's data is entered by the account holder (parent/guardian). We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts independently.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Send WhatsApp and SMS reminders at your chosen time
• Display your document tracking dashboard
• Calculate days remaining until expiry
• Generate document renewal checklists
• Power the AI Document Assistant
• Process payments (via Stripe)
• Improve our service and fix bugs
• Respond to your support requests

4. WhatsApp / SMS Communications

By providing your WhatsApp number or mobile phone number, you consent to receive automated reminder messages from NOMADO via the WhatsApp Business API and/or SMS. These messages contain:

• Document expiry alerts (at your chosen time)
• Renewal requirement checklists
• Urgent expiry warnings
• One-time verification codes (OTP), where applicable

Message frequency varies based on your account settings and the number of documents you track, and typically ranges from 1–10 messages per month. You may receive additional messages if you request account verification or support.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier messaging and data rates from your mobile provider may apply to messages sent and received through our service.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by removing your WhatsApp/mobile number from your account. Reply HELP for assistance.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or WhatsApp number with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used solely to deliver the service-related messages described above.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Supabase — Database and authentication hosting (Singapore servers)
• Meta (WhatsApp Business API) — To deliver reminder messages
• Twilio — SMS/voice message delivery infrastructure
• Stripe — Payment processing (when billing is enabled)
• Anthropic — AI assistant processing (your queries only, not document data)
• Vercel — Web hosting

All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements and applicable privacy laws. None of these providers are permitted to use your mobile number for their own marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

• Active accounts: data retained as long as account is active
• Deleted accounts: all data permanently deleted within 30 days
• Backups: purged within 90 days of deletion request
• WhatsApp/SMS opt-out records: retained to honor your preference

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification — Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — Delete your account and all associated data
• Portability — Export your data in a readable format
• Object — Opt out of certain processing
• Restriction — Limit how we process your data

8. Data Security

• All data encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Database encrypted at rest
• Row-level security on all database tables
• Authentication via Supabase Auth (industry standard)
• Regular security audits

9. Cookies

We use minimal cookies for authentication and session management only. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this may affect your ability to log in.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you by email and display a notice in the app at least 14 days before significant changes take effect.
