Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using the NOMADO website or Android app (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including free and paid users, businesses and advertisers.

2. Description of Service

NOMADO provides:

• Document expiry tracking and reminder notifications
• Renewal requirement checklists
• Optional sharing of your own reminders over WhatsApp
• Tracking documents for yourself and your family in one account, and organization accounts for schools and companies
• An expat services directory with business listings and reviews
• Job ads from employers, which job seekers answer directly
• A community where users post, reply, repost, share photos, short videos and voice notes, follow each other, save posts and send private messages
• Banner ads from advertisers we approve
• An AI assistant where it is available

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the community.
• You may manage documents for your minor children or dependents.
• You must provide accurate information and may hold only one personal account.
• You may not use the Service if you were banned from it or if the law forbids you from using it.

4. Your Account

Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

5. Your Responsibilities

• Enter accurate document expiry dates and keep notifications switched on if you rely on them.
• Verify visa and document requirements with official sources.
• Make sure any WhatsApp or mobile number you save belongs to you or to someone who agreed to it.

6. The Community and Your Content

You can create a community page, post text, photos, short videos and voice notes, reply, like, repost, save posts, follow other users and send them private messages. Community content is visible to signed-in users according to our Privacy Policy and your privacy settings. Posts and community pages of public accounts are also shown to people without an account, on the public pages of our website, through shared links and in search engines, unless you turn this off in your privacy settings. Replies are shown only to signed-in users.

• Guidelines: you must follow our Community Guidelines. You may not post harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, content that endangers children, violence, scams, fake documents, offers to sell visas or permits, other people's personal information, spam, or phone numbers, links and advertising in posts.
• Messages: you can send private messages to people who accept them. The Community Guidelines also apply to messages. Do not use messages for spam, scams, harassment, unsolicited advertising or asking for money, and do not include links or phone numbers in a message request. People can accept or delete message requests from accounts they do not follow, and any account or message can be blocked or reported.
• Your content: you keep ownership of what you post. You give NOMADO a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, resize and reproduce your content in the app and on our website so we can operate the Service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time.
• Your responsibility: you are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the rights to everything you post.
• Reporting and blocking: you can report posts, accounts and messages and block or mute other users in the app. Posts are hidden automatically after several reports while we review them.
• Moderation: we may review, hide or remove content and limit, suspend or ban accounts that break these Terms or the Community Guidelines, with or without notice, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.
• No endorsement: content posted by users expresses the opinion of its authors, not of NOMADO.

7. Reviews

Registered users may leave one review per business and may edit their own review. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. You may not review your own business, offer or accept payment for reviews, or publish abusive, defamatory or unlawful content. We may hide or remove a review that breaks these Terms.

8. Service Directory Listings

Businesses may publish a listing in the NOMADO directory. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you publish, including the business name, contact details, address, photos, video and the business licence you upload, and you confirm that you are authorised to represent the business. Published listings are public: anyone can open them on our website and through shared links without an account, and they can appear in search engines such as Google.

Adding a business licence is optional. When our team has checked the licence you upload, your listing shows a Verified badge, and listings without a checked licence show as not verified. The badge only means that we reviewed the document you provided. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee of the business, and we may remove it if the licence expires, does not match the listing or turns out to be invalid.

Every listing is reviewed before publication. We may decline a listing where information is incomplete or cannot be verified, the licence is invalid, the content is misleading, the photos or video do not belong to the business, or the activity is unlawful where it operates. During the free launch period, approved listings are published free of charge, and we will notify listing owners at least 30 days before any listing fee applies. If a paid listing is declined before publication, the fee is refunded. We may remove or suspend a published listing that breaks these Terms and will notify the owner with the reason.

9. Job Ads

Employers, and recruiters authorised by an employer, can publish job ads in the directory using the job ad form. Job ads are directory listings, so section 8 also applies to them, together with these rules:

• Real jobs only: the job must be real and open when you publish it, and you must be the employer or authorised to recruit for it. Do not post the same job more than once.
• Accurate details: the title, employer, location, employment type, work mode, salary, requirements and benefits must be accurate and must not hide the nature of the work. If you do not state a salary, mark it as negotiable.
• No fees for job seekers: applicants may never be asked to pay anything at any stage, including recruitment, application, visa, training or equipment fees or deposits, and you may not keep an applicant's passport or identity documents.
• Equal opportunity: ads may not discriminate by race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, age, disability or marital status, unless the law requires a specific condition for the job.
• Lawful work only: the job and the ad must comply with the labour and immigration laws of the country where the work takes place. We do not allow ads that sell visas or work permits, recruit for sexual or unlawful work, involve forced labour, human trafficking or smuggling, or promote pyramid schemes or offers that require applicants to buy something.
• Visa sponsorship: state that a job includes visa or work permit sponsorship only if the employer will obtain it through the official process.
• Applications: applicants contact you directly by the email, phone, WhatsApp or link in your ad. NOMADO does not receive or store applications. You must use applicants' personal data only to recruit for the job, keep it secure and comply with the data protection laws that apply to you.
• Review and deadline: we review every job ad before it is published. Each ad needs an application deadline no more than 90 days ahead and is hidden automatically after that date. If you change the content of a published ad, it is reviewed again before it is shown.
• Reports and removal: users can report a job ad from the ad itself. A job ad is hidden automatically after several reports while we review it. We may remove ads and suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, and we report suspected fraud, forced labour or trafficking to the authorities.
• Fees: during the free launch period, job ads are published free of charge. NOMADO never charges job seekers to view or apply for jobs.
• Our role: NOMADO is not an employer, recruitment agency or employment agent. We do not take part in hiring decisions, do not guarantee any job, salary, visa or working conditions, and are not a party to any agreement between employers and applicants. We review ads but cannot verify every detail, so check the employer before you share personal information or accept an offer.

10. Advertising

Businesses can request banner ads through "Advertise with us". By submitting a request you confirm that you are authorised to advertise the business and that your banners, title and link are accurate, lawful and yours to use.

• We review every request and may decline, pause or remove any ad, including ads that are misleading or unlawful, sexual or discriminatory, or that promote gambling, weapons, drugs, immigration or document fraud, or link to harmful websites.
• Approved ads are shown for the period, pages and countries you choose, subject to availability.
• We give you the total views and clicks of your ad. We do not guarantee any result.
• Ad prices are shown on our website when you request an ad. You pay only after we approve your request, through a secure Stripe payment page, and the ad is published once the payment is confirmed. We may also publish some ads free of charge.
• You can boost your own community post on our website. A boosted post is shown, marked as Sponsored, to more people in the country you choose for the number of days you choose, and the boost starts as soon as the payment is confirmed. Boosted posts must follow our Community Guidelines, and we may stop a boost that breaks them.
• An ad removed for breaking these Terms is not refunded.

11. Disclaimer of Liability

NOMADO is a reminder and organization tool. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• Missed or delayed reminders caused by a device being offline, notifications being switched off, or an outage at a service we rely on
• Incorrect information provided by the AI assistant
• Changes in visa or immigration requirements
• Visa rejections, overstays or immigration penalties
• Content posted by users, businesses or advertisers
• Job ads, hiring decisions, employment terms, or the conduct of employers and job seekers
• Any loss resulting from reliance on information in NOMADO

Always verify immigration requirements with official government websites or a licensed immigration lawyer.

12. Subscriptions and Payments

Free launch period. During the launch period, every NOMADO feature is free, including documents, reminders, the community, organization accounts and directory listings. Some features may become paid after the launch period. We will notify you at least 30 days in advance, in the app and by email. You will not be charged unless you choose to subscribe, and documents you add during the launch period stay in your account.

• A free plan is available with limited features.
• Paid plans on our website are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe.
• If paid features are offered inside the Android app, they are purchased through Google Play Billing and managed in your Google account.
• Prices are shown in US dollars and may vary by region.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled, and you can cancel at any time.
• Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

13. Prohibited Uses

You may not use NOMADO to:

• Share or sell access to your account, or create accounts to get around a block or a ban
• Scrape, harvest or collect data about other users, or access the Service by automated means
• Reverse engineer, disrupt or exploit the Service
• Send spam or unsolicited messages, including through private messages or WhatsApp sharing
• Provide a phone number that does not belong to you or that you are not authorised to use
• Upload false or misleading document information
• Post fake job offers or ask job seekers for money
• Break any applicable law or regulation

14. Intellectual Property

All NOMADO content, branding, design and software belong to NOMADO LLC. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of the Service without written permission. Your document data and your content remain yours.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings or by following the steps at nomadoapp.app/delete-account. When an account is deleted, its data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

16. Governing Law

Without limiting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.

17. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NOMADO LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NOMADO LLC and its officers, employees and agents from claims, damages or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, your breach of these Terms or your infringement of the rights of others.

19. Force Majeure

NOMADO is not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages at Google, Firebase, Supabase, Cloudflare or Vercel, internet disruptions, natural disasters or government restrictions.

20. Dispute Resolution

Where the law allows, any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Wyoming, USA, and you waive participation in class actions. This does not limit any mandatory right you have to bring a claim in the courts of your country.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and will give you at least 14 days notice of material changes in the app or by email. Continuing to use NOMADO after the changes take effect means you accept them.
